Knitting nightmares
Had a fairly uneventful night of tv and knitting (as promised!). My current projects are:
-A knitted throw consisting of 20cm x 20cm squares knitted in different stitches in shades of rose, purple, chocolates and creams (mostly 8ply Jo Sharp yarn with a bit of mohair thrown in)
-A crocheted 'Jessica Simpson' daisy-pattern shawl, from a pattern I bought off E-bay which was concocted by Stitch Diva
-And finally a scarf made of purple mohair and Heirloom's Monique
I have an amazing skein of Colinette's wigwam cotton tape in 'Summer Berries' (a gorgeous array of earthy browns, pinks and purples) that I have managed to get into a huge tangled knot. Pretty annoying considering it's $25/skein. I'm too impatient for that kind of thing so I've stashed it in a plastic bag in a cupboard. It will return when she gets home to sort it out for me!

You have a few projects going! I am currently in the midst of cushion cover maddness! i want to make lots and lots. Then my friend and i will be making a couple of throw rugs together for our new house (we are moving in together in a couple of months).
Shame about the knotted skein! I had that experience the other night and painstakingly untied the whole thing. Man, it was tedious!
Thats a gorgeous photo of your dog and cat! I have a little dog and i love her dearly.

Cushion covers? Ooh, do tell! Are you going by a particular pattern, or just making it up as you go?
I had actually considered making them after I saw some my friend had bought last week, which weren't knitted but were made from a shantung-silk style fabric, covered with hundreds of seed beads in lines and geometric shapes. They were in coffee-brown and ice-blue colours, and cost her over $40 each (and they are quite small). I think I will attempt to make them but I promised myself I'd wait until I'd finished my current things. I've spent too much money already.

I know what you mean about spending money! It is so easy to go out and spend $$$$ on wool and other crafts. I am not following any patterns, just making it up. But i buy the naked cushions from Spotlight, quite cheap, and then just guess how many stitches it will take by measuring up against the cushion and leaving a little bit more to allow sewing room.
I have made one using Panda's 'Lashes' in dark brown. It looks awesome!
Now i am using Cleckheaton's Faux Fur in a deep red, and mixing it up a little with an ostrich-like wool with different hues of red.
So much fun hey!
